Section A (2 marks each)
Q1. 4 - thousands place
Q2. 1 - 6 046
Q3. 3 - 9 x 7 = 63
Q4. 2 - 8 x 237 = 1 896
Q5. 4 - 5 (887 ÷ 6 = 45 r 5)
Q6. 1 - ( you can leave this question out. However, logically 1 whole = 9/9. so 2 wholes = 18/9)
Q7. 2 - 12 + 14 = 26 (read apples carefully!)
Q8. 2 - 5 688 (3438 + 650 = 4 088, 4 088 + 750 = 4 838, 4 838 + 850 = 5 688)
Q9. 3 - 2 120 (3 102 - 982 = 2 120)
Q10. 1 - 2 893 (3 443 is 2893 more than 550)
Q11. 2 - (6 x 5 = 30 Each of the 6 members will buy 5 presents for the other 5 family members.)
Q12. 4 - 9
Q13. 4 - 5/8
Q14. 3 - $100 - $69.90 = $30.10
Q15. 3 - 2km 350m
Q16. 3 - 180ml - 120ml = 60ml
Q17. 4 (5 min x 3 = 15min)
Q18. 4 (Ravi = 45min, Kelly = 1h, total = 1h 45min)
Q19. Leave out ( answer is 1 if you want to try)
Q20. 2 (580 - 189 = 391, 391 + 120 = 511)
(Leave out Q6 and 19. So 18 questions, 2 marks each. total 36 marks.)

Section B (2 marks each)

Q40. 2/9 ( Jug A contain 2/3 = 6/9)
(leave out question 38 so total of 19 questions. 19 x 2 = 38 marks for this section)

Section C (4 marks each)
Q41. 5 870 - 2 340 = 3 530
5 870 + 3 530 = 9 400
Mrs Ang sold 9 400 cookie on both days.

Q42. 500 - 70 = 430
430 - 70 = 360
There are 360 more clips in the drawer than in the box now.

Q43. 2 x 168 = 336 or 168 + 168 = 336
336 + 28 = 364
Mandy had 364 marbles.

Q44. 8 x 13 = 104
104 x 6 = 624
The line will be 624cm long.

Q45. (Must draw models. 1 shirt = 3 units. 1 belt = 1 unit. So 2 shirts = 6 units, 3 belts = 3 units)
2 745 ÷ 9 = 305
3 x 305 = 915
He paid $915 for each shirt.

or if you can see it as 3 sets of 3 units you can give me 2745 ÷ 3 = 915 (must show model)
(4 marks each for the 5 questions. Total is 20 marks.)
